Momo Saku Punch! (2024)

A collection of photographs from my 2024 spring trip to Japan. Photos are presented unedited, shot using the Marumi Alps Punch! (アルプスパンチ！) and Summer Punch! (なついろパンチ！) effect filters, meant to evoke a feeling reminiscent of Japanese cinema and print in the 90s and early 00s.

With intentionally low resolution and striking colour grading, incorporate the nostalgic aesthetics of Japan's Heisei era (1989-2019). These filters were released by Marumi in collaboration with Japanese artist Suzuki Sayaka (鈴木さや香), photographer owner of Atelier Piccolo. The filters were only for sale in the Japanese market.

Equipment used: Canon EOS R50 SLR, Canon 50mm f2.8 Lens, Alps Punch! and Summer Punch! lens filters.
